The National Association of State Purchasing Officials (NASPO)
NASPO is one of seven organizations that moved from the Council of State Governments in June of 1994. Continued to manage a federal grant project on behalf of the association and write proposals in pursuit of other new projects. Managed a program called States Helping States, an interstate consulting service and received project awards from Vermont and Hawaii.

1985 – 1994
The Council of State Governments (CSG)
CSG is a sixty year old research organization serving the 50 states and six U.S. territories. Served as was as a staff director to four national associations of state officials. Managed an annual budget of approximately $700,000 and supervised five professionals, three support staff and two technical personnel. Managed a specialized service known as the Interstate Consulting Service (ICS) and desk top publishing services for a staff of 30, two people provided the desk top service.

1979 - 1985
The Kentucky Legislative Research Commission (LRC)
LRC is the research service working cooperatively with the members of the KY House of Representatives and Senate. Served as a research analyst with the Program Review and Investigations Committee. Worked as either a project manager or team member on a number of investigations of executive branch programs provided in Kentucky.

Citizens Union National Bank and Trust Company
Served as a computer programmer for the new NCR system. I worked in the NCR language, Neat/3.
